[Knowledge] Why Does Thunder Sound After Lightning 본문
I had been wondering for couple years about an answer for "why does thunder sound after lightning?"
Because I was too lazy and not a geek (in a good way tho), did not try to find an answer.
However, about a week ago, I could not help but began to search about this, and finally, I got it.
The answer is:
1) Thunder = Light
2) Light brings sound
3) Light is faster than sound (Light moves 300,000,000m/s while Sound moves 300m/s)
*343m/s exactly but made it easy to count and understand.
See the example:
-> If you see the thunder(light) then hear the sound after 10sec, the thunder was 3,430m away from you.
-> Why? because sound is 1,000,000 times slower than the light!
-> 10sec = 343*10 -> 3,430m!
-> if you hear it right after seeing the light? oops, you'd better get the hell out from there buddy.
